Penmar Golf Club Visits Rancho Park

Hello golfers of West LA! Did you know Penmar Golf Club not only holds monthly Thursday and Saturday tournaments but it also holds events at a few city courses in LA County? On Sept. 4 the club made its annual visit to Rancho Park Golf Course, former longtime venue of the Los Angeles Open and home of smooth-running greens. Congrats to Matt Jaffe who scored a 5-over 75 from the white tees for the top gross score.
Penmar Golf Club: Saturday In September Tournament Results
Congrats to Mark Dias, who shot an even-par 33 and won the Sorenstam Flight for low gross score.
Alim Shamji took top gross honors in the Zaharias Flight with a 4-over 37, one shot less than Ravi Shankar.

Winners of the Los Angeles Open at Rancho Park GC include Arnie Palmer, Charlie Sifford, Billy Casper and Gil Morgan. Jack Nicklaus received his first paycheck as a golf professional at the 1960 LA Open.

Penmar Golf Club wants to thank all who supported this joint campaign with Verdant Venice Group (VVG) to plant 32 native oak trees at the unused northeast corner near Hole 8's alternate tee box. With support from Penmar Ladies Club and The Penmar Restaurant, we hit our goal of $3,500 in just 2 weeks! Please join VVG volunteers and help pl
